Monopoly Go has announced a new Haunted Treasures event that offers special tokens and shields, a ton of dice rolls, and an excellent opportunity to complete your Marvel sticker collection all just in time to cap off the Halloween season.

In the mini-game, you can uncover secret treasures beneath tiles by finding special pickaxe hammers scattered across the board. You receive greater rewards as you find more items, leading to rare cosmetics and even wildcard sticker picks.

It’s easy to miss the game’s subtleties and not play as efficiently as possible because Monopoly Go doesn’t explain all the methods you can obtain pickaxe hammers.

How to play the Haunted Treasures event?

Finding hidden artifacts from beneath tiles in the mini-game is the aim of the Haunted Treasures event. You can choose a tile to crush and, ideally, uncover a portion of an artifact after obtaining a pickaxe hammer from the main board.

Concentrate on uncovering one treasure at a time to make the most of your actions because artifacts can take up three, four, or even nine squares before they are fully revealed.

The event begins with a board that conceals two artifacts, but as the board grows in size, more artifacts may gradually emerge. Before committing to a tile with cobwebs, ensure there is something underneath it because they require two hits, which is a little cheeky.

A mole miner can occasionally be hit, exposing a row of tiles. Even though this is purely a chance event and cannot be intentionally caused, it is still something to be aware of!

How to get more Pickaxe Hammers?

You need to grab as many pickaxe hammers as possible to fuel your activities in the Haunted Treasures event. Monopoly Go doesn’t actually list all of these in the mini-game description, so you could be missing out if you’re not careful.

You can collect them from:

• Your Daily Gift in the store
• The Quick Wins challenges are in the bottom left of your screen
• Mystery Manor Event Rewards (land on Chance, Tax or Utility)
• Fang Face Off Tournament Rewards Track (land on railway stations)
• Safes obtained by clearing Haunted Treasures levels
